But the thing that I connected with the most was time with the people we care about most. When I heard you in May it was a wake up call for me about my direction in life and how work was dictating it. Last week after I spoke with you it was a re-affirmation of what I have been trying to change over the last few months. Hearing you speak could not have come at a better time. If anytime you every want to speak, I am a huge advocate of what you say and do in your speeches.
I wanted to thank you for what you said and how you did it. I think your message is important especially to Marriott right now as they have merged together with Starwood as well as started this massive global growth. Your message speaks to so many from all corners of the Marriott World.
I am one of your biggest advocates.”

Moreover, I got reminded how important relationships are. Money does not make happy, but people do. I will try harder to work on the relationships with the people that really matter to me. When you ask what we would do if we only had 10 years left, I thought travelling. And when you ask what we would do if we only had one day, I thought spend it with the people I love. I recognized we should live every day like our last.
I really hope you keep giving those talks. Sometimes people just get lost in the busyness of life and need a little reminder about what is really important: “savor the coffee, not the cup!”
